Hard Reset Treo 680. This is one where this unit differs with other Palm Treo cell phones. The Treo 680 unit does not have the usual reset hole present in the other Treo family of Smartphones.

For you to do a hard reset of your Treo 680, you can do the following steps:

Important! Important: All of your data will be deleted from the unit if you do a hard reset, so make sure that you do a HotSync before starting the Treo 680 hard reset procedure.

1. Detach the back panel of your Treo 680 to expose the battery.
2. Hold the power button down of the unit.
3. Firmly holding the power button, start removing the exposed battery.
4. While still keeping your fingers on the power button, place the battery back to its place.
5. Now, you will notice that your Treo 680 will reboot. You will notice a message inquiring if you would like to delete all your data.
6. Let go of the power button and press UP on the 5-way navigator.
7. HotSync your Treo 680 to restore back your data.
